Note: At my mechanic’s advice, rod bearings are not yet done. Since this is a post-2004 S54 engine, he advised that the bearings should simply be done sometime before 100k mi, and—most importantly—I should drive very gently until oil is warm. I have followed his advice carefully in all my drives.
